Abstract | As a result of considerable study and consideration the need for a community college serving DeKalb, Lee, and Ogle counties in Illinois was apparent, and immediate action is recommended in this document. A steady growth from about 600 students the first year to about 2,000 students after eight years is projected. The curriculum is discussed and financial needs are summarized. A history of the community is given along with tables of population and school enrollments. The administrative organization is touched upon. School site selection guidelines are outlined and there is a detailed analysis of financial resources. A statistical supplement contains the results of several questionnaires related to the feasibility of the community college. (NI) |
