Abstract | This report combined all information and research data compiled by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Latin American Institute for Economic and Social Planning about human resources, education, and development for Latin America. The first section examines the demands of development on the educational system in terms of training skilled manpower and full employment. Sections II and III review the relationship between the educational systems and social structure and the guiding values of the educational system. The next two parts analyze the relationship between universities and development and the overall place of education in development planning. The last part discusses how resources are allocated for education. (BC) |
