Abstract | THE INVESTIGATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE CLUSTER CONCEPT AS A PROGRAM IN VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AT THE SECONDARY SCHOOL LEVEL WERE REPORTED. THE "CLUSTER CONCEPT" PROGRAM IS AIMED AT THE DEVELOPMENT OF SKILLS AND UNDERSTANDINGS RELATED TO A NUMBER OF ALLIED FIELDS, AND WOULD PREPARE THE PERSON TO ENTER INTO A FAMILY OF OCCUPATIONS RATHER THAN A SPECIFIC OCCUPATION. REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE IN THE AREAS OF EDUCATION, LABOR, ECONOMICS, AND INDUSTRY HAS ESTABLISHED THE NEED FOR THIS TYPE OF PROGRAM. THE SUMMARIES WERE PRESENTED IN THREE SECTIONS--(1) APPROPRIATENESS OF THE CLUSTER CONCEPT PROGRAM, (2) DEVELOPMENT OF OCCUPATIONAL CLUSTERS, AND (3) DEVELOPMENT OF COURSE OUTLINES.
