Abstract | It is assumed that the forced distance education due to the pandemic has a tremendous impact on the configuration of physical education (PE). This paper will focus on any changes from the teachers' perspective from face-to-face to distance PE and their causes. The data basis is an explorative interview study in which PE teachers (n=66) from all types of German schools were interviewed in 2021. The interviews are analyzed along the Qualitative Content Analysis (Mayring, 2019). The evaluation identifies factors such as the organizational, media and material frameworks as influencing the contents and configuration of PE at a distance. Regarding the theory components of PE, changes from face-to-face to distance learning in the three categories quantity of theory, function of theory and methodological implementation of theory could be identified. The change to distance learning also led to a significant shift in the students' PE grades. (Autor). |
