Abstract	This contribution aims to discuss the policy analysis model for adult education by Lima and Guimarães, building upon findings from the recently published study "Bildung für eine ungewisse Zukunft" (Schiller 2022). [The] article addresses the following question: How can we inquire the German policy development using the Lima and Guimarães model? Firstly, [the authors] briefly discuss the analytical model by Lima and Guimarães (section 2). Secondly, [they] present the recent study "Bildung für eine ungewisse Zukunft" as a research example (section 3) in which the model is integrated into a multiple step research design in the field of continuing higher education. Afterwards, [they] discuss the implications from the research example in the context of policy analysis methodology (section 4). [The authors'] conclusions summarize the benefits of the model's application to German policy analysis and highlight some possible directions for further improvements of the model (section 5).
