Abstract | Finland's education system has received great interest as a result of the country's performance in being one of the top achievers in the PISA scores in recent years. This international competitive success must be extensively studied in terms of its basics, which include legislation, school environment, equality, the quality of instructors, and the design of the curriculum, among others. Thus, this study set out to investigate the present foreign language education and its curriculum in basic education as an essential part of the Finnish educational organization. The educational program in Finland is explained, but the major emphasis was on compulsory education in the country, and on foreign language education at a basic level and its curriculum which are all discussed in detail. |
