Abstract | In this article; as an introduction to the theme Inclusive Education; a fundamental perspective on inclusive; education as a challenge and task of educational organsations in the international context is presented. It will be shown that the reform discourse of inclusive education is articulated very differently in country contexts and cultures and - against the background of the understanding of disability - leads to different institutional forms. In addition; challenges for international comparative inclusion research are outlined and discussed; especially regarding ethnographic and cultural compar ative approaches - with a special focus on the Global South. The article concludes with the resulting areas of conflict in international comparative inclusion research. |
