Abstract | Preparing pre-service teachers to be successful teachers takes work and effort from college faculty. There are methods to help in this preparation. One of those methods is having the pre-service teacher watch and observe their teaching as they participate in practicum classes that have them teaching in the schools. This act of watching and observing individuals teach has been termed as noticing. For this study physical education teacher education (PETE) students participated in a high school physical education (PE) practicum experience. The PETE majors were interviewed regarding what they noticed as they watched themselves teach. It was generally found that the PETE majors noticing benefitted their teaching during the practicum.
