Abstract | This book provides comprehensive insight into prospective foreign language teachers' written reflection on their teaching practicum. In the context of Greek higher education, the student teachers' reflection upon key moments is explored and the optimal ways in which teacher education can support it are empirically validated by means of a longitudinal pedagogical action research. Research findings comprise the evaluation of teacher education, a typology of research-based written reflection, a typology of the students' profiles in their teacher-researcher role and the emergence of the influential role of collaborative reflection.
