Abstract | Im Zentrum des Beitrags steht die Materialität von Elterngesprächen in Kindertagesstätten. (DIPF/Orig.). The focal point of the paper is the materiality of parent-practicer meetings in early childhood education. Based on ethnographic data, it has been reconstructed in a praxeological theory perspective, how educational documentation is used in parent-practicer meetings and what different functions it has for the practical conduct of these conversations. It is shown, that the documents are efficacious and at the same time fragile actors of the meetings and that their use enables to set the child development in relation to peers, the individual course of development and the anticipated school requirements.
