| Abstract | The aim of this paper is to map the teaching physical education lessons in primary schools in the Czech Republic. Data is composed of 2822 electronic questionnaires from Czech primary schools and 50 semi-structured interview with PE teachers from Prague and the Central Bohemia Region. Only 51.3 % of teachers are fully qualified for P.E. in the first level (grades 1-5) of the primary school. The situation on the second level (grades G =9) is a little bit better - 62.7% of the P.E. teachers are fully qualified. These are 2.1 P.E. lessons per week on the first level of primary schools, 2.2 lessons per week for 7th-9th grades and 2.3 lessons per week for 6th grade on average. There are schools without widespread P.E. lessons. In cases where a 3rd P.E. lesson is undertaken, 26.4% (197 schools) have a specific focus - e.g. ball games, swimming, aerobic, gymnastics, health P.E., ect. But primarily (73.6%; 549 schools) this 3rd P.E. lesson has standard content. Classes (not schools) with widespread P.E. lessons have on average from 2.7 lessons per week of P.E. in the first grade to 3 lessons per week in the 5th grade. There are 4 lessons per week in the second level of primary schools (6th-9th grade). There are also other possibilities for sport activities in primary schools - hobby lessons (in the afternoon) with a sport focus are offered by 69.8% of schools; optional spoil subjects are offered by 32 %; non-compulsory sport subjects are offered by 9.2%; 19% of the schools do not offer any subjects in the field of sport. (Autor). Cílem príspevku je zmapování výuky telesné výchovy na základních skolách v Ceské republice. Data jsou analýzou 2822 elektronických dotazníku (ZS z celé CR), 50 semi-strukturovaných rozhovoru s uciteli telesné výchovy (Praha a Stredoceský kraj) a dvou focus groups s 55 studenty studujících telesnou výchovu na vysoké skole. Z výsledku vplynula nízká aprobovanost ucitelu telesné výchovy, zejména na 1. stupni ZS (51,3 %). Na 2. stupni je situace o trochu lepsí - 62,7 % ucitelu je aprobováno pro výuku telesné výchovy. Prumeme je v nesportovních skolách a nesportovních trídách na 1. stupni 2,1 hodiny TV za týden; 2,2 hodiny za týden v 7.-9. rocníku a nejvíce hodin TV pripadá na 6. rocník - 2,3. V prípade 3. vyucovací hodiny TV za týden je v 26,4 % nejak konkrétneji zacílena (mícové sporty, plavání, aerobic, gymnastika, zdravotní TV apod.). Ale v 73,6 % prípadu je tato vyucovací jednotka standardní náplne. Trídy (nikoli skoly) s rozsírenou výukou telesné výchovy mají v prumeru od 2,7 do 3 hodin za týden na 1. stupni a 4 hodiny týdne na 2. stupni. Skoly také zpravidla nabízejí dalsí moznost sportovního vyzití v rámci sportovních zájmových útvaru - krouzku (69,8 %); volitelného predmetu (32 %); nepovinného predmetu (9,2 %).
