| Abstract | The paper deals with a number of pressing but unresolved issues of national education in the context of formation of students' health. The data on the state of health of the rising generation and specific measures to promote health and improve physical education of students are provided. The state's efforts to bring education into line with the challenges of the postindustrial cultural era, often because of insufficient scientific elaboration, came down to "inconsistent revolutionization". A lot was done, but often "following the form" and not always for the good health and realization of personal potential of students, although there is still hope for reasonable health forming "dynamic changes" in the teaching community, in parents and childrens! Among the strategic objectives are as follows: focus on humanistic values, assertion of the priority role of education in the socio-economic development of society and state, the priority of education, including physical one, in the structure of education itself.
