| Abstract | Processes of modernization of Russian education and its integration into the global educational environment necessitate increased demands for professional competency of future teachers of physical education and sport coaches, who must possess the relevant knowledge, be highly competent in their chosen field of activity. One of the least studied problems is the sphere of control of motor coordination qualities. There are suggested various notions, interpretations of concepts and terms "inclination", "ability", "quality"; understanding of the nature of the motor-coordination qualities based on their types. The author provides a theoretical justification for differences in the basic concepts of "inclination", "ability" and "quality"; shows their characteristic features, interconnection and interdependence. A large number of analyzed works of outstanding world-renowned scientists suggests the competency building approach to the problem, its relevance; the need to create a common approach to the development and practical use of the conceptual framework as an important condition for improvement of the efficiency of education of specialists in the field of physical culture and sport.
