| Abstract | The purpose of the study was to test the opinions of 1-3-formers regarding physical education classes right after they were conducted by a teacher. The research was done with the use of the interview method. The choice of the method was stipulated by the fact that children at this age could find it difficult to freely report their experiences and thoughts about physical education classes. Proceeding from the results of the study the vast majority of children were pleased with the physical education classes they had participated in. The girls were proved to like the classes more than the boys. Team games and all kinds of exercises were most popular among children. Less than 10% of children were dissatisfied with the lack of discipline at the lesson and the fact that their coevals had not observed the fair play principles while doing exercises. However, most children willingly do exercises during physical education classes. Only one child out of ten did exercises unwillingly. The youngest schoolchildren would prefer various team and active games as well as all kinds of exercises during physical education classes. The boys enjoyed team games more than girls and think they should be frequently played at lessons. The boys were more often dissatisfied with participation in competition during exercises. The girls preferred doing various exercises and competing with their coevals at the lessons and did not like ball exercises. The above relations are statistically significant. Verf.-Referat. |
