AbstractThe purpose of the present research was to determine the role of moral competence in the course of training teachers of physical culture. Moral competence is readiness, ability to live in accordance with traditional moral rules. The process of vocational training of future teachers is impossible without approval of theoretical knowledge within teacher's practice. Therefore it is assumed effective to include the unity of pedagogical theory and practice in the complex of conditions facilitating formation of moral competence of future teachers. By its contents and structure teacher's practice is similar to the present professional pedagogical activity. It is in the period of teacher's practice when a college student not only realizes his vocational competence, but is also capable of showing his public spirit in the course of educational-training process while working with pupils. Arranging of extracurricular measures focused on formation of moral competence of future teachers actualizes the gained in a college knowledge on moral competence and inspires students for self-education in the sphere rendering positive effect on the quality of their vocationally acute knowledge and abilities, requiring constant development, as well as increase of their competence level, since only teacher with such an integral quality can develop it in his pupils. Effectiveness of realization of the given complex of pedagogical conditions for formation of the moral competence of future teachers of physical culture has been approved by the practical results of the experimental work.
