Abstract | Descriptions of utilitizing the cooperative learning model as a teaching tool to foster social interaction between students with a mild intellectual disability and their peers without disabilities were given. Specific examples from research currently being conducted in the Australian context was used to highlight how preparing for and implementing cooperative learning in a secondary-school inclusive physical education class can promote or discourage interactions.
