(DIPF/Orig.). This article examines regional aspects of the development of all-day schools which are related to the specifics of different federal states and the particularities of rural areas. First, the specific conditions for the design of all-day schools in Thuringia and Rhineland-Palatinate are outlined. Here, large differences in the support of all-day schools by regional politics become apparent. On the other hand, in both federal states the structural conditions of rural areas are not taken into account when designing all-day schools. Then the influence of federal state law and the influence of the structural conditions of rural areas on the development of all-day schools are discussed on the basis of results from interviews with involved persons: Using the example of a rural all-day school in Thuringia, it is demonstrated how the development of all-day schools is influenced by the specifics of federal state law. Furthermore, problems regarding the design of all-day schools are discussed which have been associated with the structural characteristics of rural areas by the interviewed persons. (DIPF/Orig.). |
