Abstract | The authors describe long-standing user interface issues with Dynamic Geometry Software and common approaches to address them. They first describe prototypes of multi-touch-capable DGS and give hints on the educational benefits of proper user interface design. The papers in this issue are enhanced versions of the presentations given at the Second Computer Algebra and Dynamic Geometry Systems in Mathematics Education (CADGME) conference at the University of Linz, Austria, in July 2009.
