Abstract	Susanne Wiegner und Stefanie Rathje analysieren in ihrer empirischen Studie den deutschsprachigen interkulturellen Consultingmarkt. Ausgehend von klassischen Consulting-Definitionen weisen sie bei den analysierten Angeboten und Anbietern im Bereich des interkulturellen Consulting eine große Lücke zwischen Wunsch und Wirklichkeit nach. While it is very common to list intercultural consulting as a fourth service offering among other well-established intercultural services (training, coaching, mediation) and many providers call themselves intercultural consultants, there is still confusion about whether this service actually exists and if yes, how it differentiates from other offerings in the intercultural field. The paper summarizes the results of an empirical study about the market of intercultural consulting services to increase transparency with respect to intercultural consulting as a service label and a service offering. In addition, it describes common service portfolios and typical provider profiles in the area of intercultural consulting. The results reveal a huge gap between what is commonly called intercultural consulting and what is actually provided.
