Abstract | Critically discusses the 4 contributions to a special issue of the German Journal of Educational Psychology focusing on research concerning the promotion of self-regulated learning through prompts. Key issues of the contributing studies are summarized, and their results are discussed in light of the questions (1) which learning activities should be prompted and (2) how they should be prompted. Furthermore, improvements of assessment methods and the examination of additional variables are suggested for future research on the subject. (ZPID). |
