Abstract | The present study will examine what lies behind the PISA results for students' use of learning strategies. New data from PISA 2006, which include the results from interviews of 22 students who participated in the PISA 2006 study, will be analysed. ... In the wake of the PISA results researchers have examined the students' use of learning strategies in lower secondary schools in science comprising three categories of students, ethnic majority students, minority students and students working in ICT-rich environments. ... [The study has] limited knowledge and understanding of what kind of strategies 15-year-olds in Norway know or use. [It] therefore aims to add new knowledge to the body of literature on learning strategies as a part of self-regulation among 15-year-olds in Norway. (DIPF/Orig.). |
