| Abstract | This study shows the problems of taking notes within the learning process and emphasizes the stages of an efficient note taking: if notes are taken following the teacher's explanation, then the first stage should be active listening; if notes are taken while reading a material, like a book, then the first stage should be pre-reading (cross-text lecture or the material up-viewing). Both cases are followed by the process of comprehension of the things that are read or listened to. The next stage consists of the mental selection of the information, of its organization and systematization, as well as of the information writing and, finally, the information review. |
