Abstract | In the IUFMs (school training colleges) inexperienced elementary school teachers feel structural tensions from their professional training that seems to partly carry on a state of subjection to the school system which they want to get out of as quick as possible to "pass through the looking glass" and start a professional career. For them it often means entering the grown-up world as well. Lots of them seem not sure about getting involved in some new aspects of their training, set up around the reflexive teacher paradigm: They are either inclined to emphasize other aspects of the job because of their own school/-college experience, or reluctant to publicly expose their problems, fearing that society of the institution might use this confession against them and instead of helping them, it might make them more vulnerable.
