Abstract | The first part of this volume comprises a case study of change within the education system of the Republic of Ireland, focusing upon the introduction of a Transition Year into post-primary education. Of particular interest is the way in which the project progressed, the role of training and the methods and results of the project evaluation. The second part is an essay by Professor Heywood providing a more theoretical setting for a consideration of the role of instructional and curricular leadership in the change process. (DIPF/Orig. |
