Abstract | This article sets out a transverse problematic which deals with questions proper to care as well as to the sciences of education. E. Noel-Hureaux registered at Paris 8 University after she completed the Teacher Training Nursing School, she then discovered university and the way it was run which was so different from the way nursing schools were. She realised that learned knowledge was transferable and that it gave her practice as a trainer a lot of meaning. For that reason she emphasizes that the epistemological break resulting from research is "pregnant" with two meanings. every single one of us practises the analysis of reality and also a researcher has the duty to change postures, in order to stand back from what he perceives as obvious, as familiar, whatever the field concerned. Both postures, the practitioner's as well as the researcher's, enrich each other, making it possible to come and go from practice to research all the time.
