Abstract | The problems of tribal education ... are based mostly on the perceptions, observations, and research conducted at the macro-level. ... The need for the present study, therefore, emerges - to look from a closer range into the factors that demotivate the tribals from pursuing formal education. The objectives of the study are: to study the ground realities, through case study approach, pertaining to the factors that demotivate tribal children and their parents from pursuing formal eduation; to scrutinize the problems of educating the tribal child at the microlevel to understand their macro dimensions.
