| Abstract | The articel concerns the step by step introduction of the forms of study for obtaining the B.A. degree in the Czech Republic. Diversity of the study programs offers, different forms of study and the scope of interests of students have been reviewed. Higher schools entrance requirements, length of study in relation to vocational specialization and to practical training as well the kind of final examinations are in the review included. A possibility of further continuation of the study for receiving M.A. degree or higher technical school degree Ing.("engineer") is explained. Special attention has been paid to the methods of teaching, to the problems of the teaching staff and to the study advisory consultations. The article reviews the results of interviewing university representatives and the results of an inquiry among students at 52 different study programs, 23 faculties of 7 higher schools. The summary presents an analysis of the future development of B.A. study. Advantages of it can be seen in further spreading of higher education in the Czech Republic to separate regions.
