Abstract | Looking back on their years in school teacher students wrote autobiographical reports about their own study problems and their experiences of decreasing interest in school subjects. Causal attributions blame teachers for ignoring their students' troubles and their lack of effort in motivating and instructing. This way of explaining problems in school - usually typical for the younger learner's perspective - was not expected among teacher students. During the years in school subject-related interest seems to be enhanced especially in Biology; decreasing motivation is reported for Physics and Chemistry. (DIPF/orig.) |
