Abstract | This paper sets out to contribute a clear definition of the duties proper to the post of school headmaster and other directive positions. In particular, we here present these roles as viewed by teachers of primary and secondary education who have taken the necessary courses given in three in-service centres (C. E. P.) in Jaén, and who are preparing to hold these posts in the future. The paper is based on the attitudes assumed by such 77 teachers towards a number of activities related to, e. g., pedagogical counselling, maintenance of the social climate, control and duffusion of information, and pertinence or not of management and representation activities. This paper also sounds out the informants' view of the relevance of such activities to the normal development of the teaching process, their ideal frequency, and the problems that may arise as a consequence of them. The results obtained are compared with those of other administrative regions which have complete authority on educational issues. (DIPF/orig.). |
