| Abstract | Teacher education is challenged to attempt to address and unpack the discernible features of the new millennium. In preparing future teachers and in up-dating the knowledge of experienced teachers, teacher educators are required to come to terms with the post- traditional era.... Teacher education for a post-traditional era is, by definition, unsusceptible to pre-determined outcomes or to precise description.... This era will be marked by a proliferation of experts.... With this in mind, the author posits some directions for teacher education which are listed under fifteen headings, respectiveley one for every letter of the word post-traditional - from P for programs to L for leap.
