Abstract	This publication is based on outcomes of the Round Table organised jointly by the European Training Foundation and the Slovenian Phare VET Reform Programme Management Unit in Bohinj, Slovenia from October 4-6, 1998. Chapter 1 defines some of the terms and concepts used in the debate on social exclusion in Europe. Chapter 2 reviews the specificity and conditions of the partner countries regarding social exclusion. Chapter 3 describes methodological approaches and strategies of intervention. Chapter 4 deals with the evaluation of the current situation and evolution of it. Chapter 5 provides conclusions and recommendations to the Advisory Forum. There are presented two examples of social exclusion - first, in the Newly Independend States the case of Kyrgyzstan, second, in the EU the case of Flanders. (DIPF/orig./St.).
