Abstract | "This study was designed primarily to investigate the remote as well as the immediate causes of the current low academic performance of students in Lesotho high schools ... The researchers attribute the current state of affairs to the ineffectiveness and inefficiency of the high school teachers as a result of many factors, the main one of which is job dissatisfaction". 200 high school teachers of one administrative district were explored wit a "Teacher Job Satisfaction Evaluation Questionnaire" in order to test the mentioned hypothesis and "to identify the wider and immediate causes of job dissatisfaction".
