Abstract | The present study was planned to find out some significant correlates of burn-out among teachers. A study was carried out on 180 college teachers attending orientation and refresher courses at three academic staff colleges during 1995-96. The researcher, in this study, has divided the college teachers into four groups on the basis of externality scores and type of college management. The researcher found that Government lecturers were significantly less emotionally exhausted than private teachers, both groups were equally depersonalized, the former having a higher perception of personal accomplishment as compared to the latter.
