| Abstract | This paper describes and discusses a system of preservice training developed at the Toulouse IUFM for the training of physical education teachers. This training aims at initiating a reflexive practice based on the observation of the didactic activity of an experienced teacher. The distinctive feature of this system is to transpose the methods of observation of the didactic interactions used in a descriptive research, to training purposes. The interest of a reflexive training in the didactic fields is briefly discussed in the introduction. Three points are then successively tackled: 1. a description of the research on which this training is based; 2. a description of the training system; 3. a discussion on its relevance in a perspective of professionalization.
