Abstract | As education is inter-related with culture the educational development of Hong Kong is closely related with the contextual factors which constitute the culture of the society. These contextual factors include the historical background, economic development, demographic changes and traditional beliefs. This paper attempts to investigate, from an insider's perspective, how culture informs and shapes the concept of teaching and learning in Hong Kong. (DIPF/orig.) |
