Abstract | The French name of this project (Démission Impossible) could perhaps be translated into English as "No Room for Failure". The aim of the first "departmental" action plan was the prevention of failure at school which is often the first step on the way to failure in social and professional life. How can one avoid school becoming the place where failure begins? This question requires complex answers and in 1992 a plan of action was undertaken to help young secondary pupils (fourteen to sixteen years) already in serious difficulty within the school system, to find a way back onto the road of success, by defining a guidance project to be set up by the "Chambre des Métiers"and the "Direction Départementale du Travail de l'Emploi et de la Formation Professionnelle", (The Departmental Authority for Work, Employment and Vocational Training). (DIPF/taken from the summary). |
