Abstract | This article is based on "The School and Democratic Society" project between the Citizenship Development for a Global Age Program at the Ohio State University and educational reformers in Poland. "The goal of this project is to facilitate Polish teacher education reform through the development and implementation of a preservice teacher education course based on the organization and operation of schools in a democratic society" ... It describes "the context for reform that prompted the project, the project's major cross-cultural components, a brief analysis of the resultant course plan, and outcomes of a pilot test and expert evaluations of the course by Polish pedagogical scholars".
