Abstract	The 'World Education Revolution' of the last few decades cannot be understood without the intensified international communication and the spread of certain elements of ideologies of modernization. This paper attempts to assess the structure and volume of bi- and multilateral external financing of education since the early seventies and to speculate about the consequences of the increasingly sceptical attitude of the USA vis-à-vis institutions of international development cooperation. Further, the development of the bilateral educational aid of the Federal Republic of Germany is characterized. (DIPF/Orig.). La "Révolution de l'éducation dans le monde" ces dix dernières années n'est pas explicable sans l'intensification de la communication internationale et sans la propagation de certains éléments des idéologies de modernisation. Le texte se concentre sur l'épreuve de taxer la structure et le volume du financement international, du bi- et multilateral de l'éducation à partir des années 70; aussi sur l'épreuve de caractériser les effets de la retraite renforcée de l'Amérique au sortir des institutions de la collaboration dans la politique de développement.
