AbstractThe purpose of this study is to determine the predicting power of mathematics achievement from ICT variables including the Internet/entertainment use (IEU), program/software use (PRGUSE), confidence in internet tasks (INTCONF) and confidence in ICT high level tasks (HIGHCONF) based on PISA 2006 data. This study indicates that the ICT variables account for significant and low variance in mathematics achievement for each participating country. The IEU and PRGUSE are a negative and significant predictor of mathematics achievement whereas the INTCONF and HIGHCONF are a positive and significant predictor of mathematics achievement for the majority of participating countries. The results support the implication that the ICT is not entirely integrated into classroom and school environment. (As Provided).
