Abstract | The collective bargaining agreement between Long Island University and the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) covering the period October 31, 1986-October 31, 1991 is presented. Items covered in the agreement include: chapter recognition, nondiscrimination, governance, peer evaluation and faculty evaluation committees, personnel files, academic freedom, academic responsibility, tenure, contractual employment, discretionary annual employment, standards for notice of termination, workload for full-time teaching faculty, academic calendar and ceremonies, annual leave, discipline for cause, management rights, union rights, reassignment of personnel, salaries, general salary increases, merit increases, fringe benefits, retirement, life insurance, medical insurance, tuition remission, disability insurance, grievance procedure, arbitration, no strike/lockout, and dues checkoff.
