Abstract | This Systems and Procedures Exchange Center (SPEC) kit on affirmative action programs contains planning documents and policy statements on affirmative action and equal employment opportunity from universities and Association of Research Libraries (ARL) member libraries. The kit comprises: (1) "Affirmative Action Plan for the University Library" (University of California at Davis); (2) "University Library Affirmative Action Plan" (University of California at Los Angeles); (3) "Library Equal Employment and Education Opportunity Program" (University of Maryland); (4) "Affirmative Action Policy" (University of Massachusetts); (5) "Affirmative Action Plan for Equal Employment Opportunity" (National Library of Medicine); (6, 7) "Equal Employment Opportunity Plan of Affirmative Action for Fiscal Year 1977" and "Equal Employment Opportunity Plan of Affirmative Action for Fiscal Year 1978" (Library of Congress); (8) "Affirmative Action Implementation Plan" (The Ohio State University); and (9) "Minority Opportunities in the Library Statement of Policy" (Washington University).
