| Abstract | Extracted from the April 3, 1980 Federal Register, revisions of the Migrant Education regulations are synthesized in this Spanish-English booklet. Revised regulations address program planning and evaluation; needs assessment; identification and recruitment of migrant children; and special discretionary projects for the coordination of migrant students (such as resource centers, secondary school services, staff development, and information and dissemination centers). Also included are revisions regarding fund use; parental involvement; the requirements for comparable access; state evaluation of migrant education programs; and conditions for services to preschool and formerly migrant children. In addition the booklet includes Oregon's revised statutes regarding public meetings. (SB) |
