Abstract | The Center for Career Education in the Arts (CCEA) is a training program for high school students talented in the arts. Operating on a regional basis, the CCEA offers a full academic year of daily study in art, dance, music, theatre, and writing. Students who participate in the program take their academics at their home school and attend the CCEA for three hours in the afternoon. The program places special emphasis upon career education in the arts. The CCEA follows a vocational education approach, providing intensive, work related study with working artists. In order to participate in the CCEA program a student must fill out an application and go through an interview process. It is the intention of the auditions to find students who are most ready for an intensive and challenging training program. (Application forms, reference forms, audition forms, audition procedures, and the student evaluation form are appended.) (LRA) |
