Abstract | An experiment to determine the suitability of microteaching (MT) to teacher training in Sweden has been conducted since 1970. This newsletter reviews the three phases of that experiment and discusses some of the preliminary results. The experiment has only been evaluated by questionnaire. However, the results showed that: the pupils and classroom teachers enjoyed the MT very much; the methods lecturers were happy with its use though they were critical of some of the administrative problems; and the student teachers were the most positive in their appreciation of MT. The experiment is scheduled to run until 1973 when the final decisions will be made as to microteaching's applicability in Sweden. (MC) |
