Abstract	The Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Library Study is part of a national project designed to identify and meet the information needs of Indian people. Chapter I provides: (1) a description of the National Indian Education Association (NIEA) Library Project, (2) a summary description of the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation and (3) an overview of the report. Chapter II presents the design of the study and it relates to the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. This chapter contains sections dealing with goals and objectives of the study and study procedures. The findings of the study are reported in the sections dealing with information needs of: (1) elementary pupils, (2) secondary students, (3) adults, (4) existing library facilities and services and (5) data on bilingual needs. These sections are included in Chapter III. The final chapter attempt to identify innovative delivery mechanisms and programs to meet the identified information needs of the Reservation. The presentation provides essential background information, administrative and organizational components of the proposed model, and suggestions regarding materials and delivery systems.
