Abstract | A program designed for high school level work-study classes for students of limited mental ability presents specific curriculum methods and materials to teach information regarding positions available in the hotel industry. A field trip tour of the Boston Statler Hilton Hotel if the focal activity of the unit, and is accompanied by a history of the hotel industry, job descriptions and employee qualifications, activity sheets which test facts about the Statler Hilton, understanding the floor plan, and requirements and characteristics of the jobs. In addition to the content material and activity pages, the kit contains student booklets, teacher's manual, a brochure and 15 slides depicting the Statler Hilton, and a field trip permission slip.
