Abstract | The mission of the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools (CYFS) is to advance the conduct of high-quality interdisciplinary research to promote the intellectual, behavioral, and social-emotional development and functioning of individuals across educational, familial, and community contexts. Central to this is enhancing the understanding of how these complex systems work dynamically to support the future of the nation. The 2006-2007 Annual Report of the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools offers numerous examples of staff's efforts to "create connections" as applied researchers. The various projects, initiatives, and priorities described in this paper elucidate their belief in, passion about, and commitment to connections. [For 2005-2006 report, see ED538269.] (ERIC). |
