Abstract | This book represents the second of two volumes that is designed to update readers on some of the more recent developments in the field of dual diagnosis, as applied to those with intellectual disabilities. While the last few decades have boasted newer and better advances in the field, particularly in terms of assessment devices and treatment approaches, there still remains a lot to be done. The first of this series of volumes covers an array of topic areas that include assessment techniques and procedures, as well as the current status and issues that affect the field as a whole. The present volume also explores various treatment techniques, but also includes important information regarding the teaching of necessary skills to aide in the transition of individuals with intellectual disabilities into the community. [For Volume I, see ED515853.] (As Provided). |
