Abstract | This guide is a great resource for today's undergraduate. This updated career guide explores the many career options available to political science students and emphasizes the value of political science training. In additional to providing specific information about various career paths, this guide will help students examine their own career preferences in the context of new technologies and global networks. This newly revised sixth edition (August 2003) gives students insight about how to choose a career and the typical job markets that political science students enter. These area include: federal government, state and local government, nonprofits, law, business, international careers, journalism, campaigns and polling, precollegiate education, MA/Ph.D. careers, and public service. Moreover, this new edition--in a new century--recognizes the far greater mobility across career sectors and flexibility in work settings in the United States and the rest of the world. (ERIC). |
