| Abstract | Each spring, the Friends of the Library of the University of Waterloo Library invite the campus community to join in an event celebrating the creative process. The event reflects the day-to-day work of the library staff: bringing together information from a diverse range of disciplines for the purpose of creating new knowledge. This book includes articles from talks by 10 contributors, spanning 10 years, 1993-2002: a humanist, a scriptwriter, an artist, a mathematician, two novelists, a composer, a scientist, a journalist, and a student. Chapters include: 1993 "A Humanist Meets His Waterloo" (James Downey); 1994 "On Monks, Monsters, and Manuscripts: Ruminations of a Scriptwriter" (Michael W. Higgins); 1995 "The Case for the Other: About Boxes and Inspirations" (Tony Urquhart); 1996 "Exposing Text: How Questions for the OED Led to Answers for the World Wide Web" (Frank W.
